Murray parts ways with Maclagan, Cahill next?

Andy Murray has confirmed he has parted ways with his coach Miles Maclagan.

“I’ve had a great relationship with Miles over the past two and a half years and I want to thank him for his positive contribution to my career,” Murray said in a statement on his website. ”We have had a lot of success and fun working together.”

British press say sources report the split was amicable. According to the Telegraph, the reason for the split was disagreement over the role of part-time coach Alex Corretja. The Guardian suggests that Murray is likely to begin working with adidas coach Darren Cahill after the summer.

“It’s been a privilege to work with Andy as his coach and I’m happy to have played my part in his career,” said Maclagan in the statement.
