Clijsters, Venus set up semifinal faceoff

Kim Clijsters and Venus Williams will face each other in the semifinals of the U.S. Open after Williams surivived a tough first set to defeat Francesca Schiavone 7-6(5), 6-4 and Clijsters recovered from a break down multiple times in the third set to get past Sam Stosur 6-4, 5-7, 6-3.

 

The two met at the U.S. Open last year, when Clijsters defeated Williams in three sets on her way to the title.
