Europeans dominate Slam season

Europeans have filled 30 of the 32 Grand Slam men’s quarterfinal spots this year, with the only others to make it that far being American Andy Roddick at the Australian Open and Yen-Hsun Lu of Taiwan at Wimbledon.

That includes all eight quarterfinalists at the U.S. Open after American Sam Querrey fell to Stanislas Wawrinka in five sets in the fourth round.
