Sanchez Vicario’s parents dispute claims

Arantxa Sanchez Vicario’s parents are not planning legal action against their daughter after she accused them of taking all $60 million in career earnings in her new autobiography.

The lawyer of Marisa Vicario and Emilio Sanchez told Spanish television that they wanted to read their daughter’s book before deciding how they would respond. They issued a statement saying their daughter “had taken the latest step in her desire to wound and humiliate” them. “We lived for 20 years for her, put everything else aside and mortgaged our life,” Sanchez Vicario’s parents said.

Their lawyer added that the parents never took advantage of Arantxa “and she is, of course, not ruined.”
